Not my image, but hilarious nonetheless.
If anyone can find the reference, let me know.
Confession
I am just now watching Lost for the first time. Up to S.1 Ep. 8 in two days. I can already feel the addiction taking over.
So you want to be an actor
From TV writer Ken Levine:
My heart always goes out to actors during pilot season (which this is)… I just can’t imagine facing that level of constant rejection. So congratulations to all the actors who do make it. Savor each and every moment. Go to the parties. Be in the parades. Do the photo shoots. Fly in the company jet. You’ve won the lottery. Also, print this out and read it in three years when you start wondering if the show is holding you back.
The full text of the post is worth a read, since it gives a pretty real play-by-play of the obstacle course that is getting a pilot on the air and keeping a role on said pilot. It reminded me of three things:
1. Writing a pilot and getting it on television is probably equally as difficult
2. It’s nice having a steady paycheck
3. I definitely, definitely don’t want to be an actor anymore
Another Eli and Tessa post from October of 2009. Eli talks about Scribblenauts, Tessa describes the wedgie she got for her birthday.
My parents have a weekly radio show on an AM station in DC. My brother and sister regularly go with them to the station while they tape, and every now and again get to record some stuff. Here’s a taste of what I wake up to on some Monday mornings.
Clarification: I actually love my new Droid. The “what have I done” is more like “now i’m connected to email via hip.”
